Privacy

This notice is not finished.
No trading entity is named as data controller yet, and the advertising and analytics cookies described below are set before you are asked to consent to them. Both need resolving. It is published in this state because an accurate description of what happens is better than none at all.
What we collect
Your email address, which you give us at checkout. It is what your download link is sent to, and what identifies your purchases if you need those files again later.
Your order history: what you bought, what you paid, and which guides you are entitled to.
We do not ask for your name, address or phone number, and we never see your card details.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach this site or our servers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the email address you used.
Stripe processes this data as a controller in its own right. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle it.
Where your data is stored
Orders, entitlements and download records are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. The guide PDFs are held in private storage and are only released through a signed, time-limited link.
Delivery and download-link emails are sent through Resend.
Watermarking
Each PDF is personalised with the email address it was bought under at the moment you download it. This is to discourage redistribution. It means your email address appears inside the file you receive.
Advertising, analytics and cookies
This site uses the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that you visited, including when you complete a purchase and its value. It is used to measure and target advertising.
It also uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how people use the site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, replayed as anonymised session recordings. It is used to find parts of the site people struggle with.
It uses the TikTok Pixel, which works like the Meta Pixel: it sets cookies and tells TikTok that you visited, and when you complete a purchase and its value, so advertising can be measured and targeted.
None of these is needed for the site to work. You can buy and download guides with all of them blocked.
We never see your card details through any of them: payment happens on Stripe's own pages, which these scripts cannot reach.
How long we keep it
Order and entitlement records are kept for as long as you may need to re-download what you bought, and for as long as we are required to keep records of sales.
Download links expire after 7 days. Your access does not expire, only the links.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your record removes your access to files you have bought.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
